A Hidden Gem Near the Pacific
Monkey Houses is located just about 400 meters from Playa Matapalo—an easy 2-minute walk to the sand. We are nestled in a peaceful spot close to Hotel Riu Guanacaste, and only about a 45-minute drive from Liberia International Airport.
Surrounded by lush jungle, you'll likely spot monkeys, tropical birds, and other incredible wildlife right from your terrace. Despite the secluded feel, there are a few excellent local restaurants within walking distance.

Check-in & Check-out
Check-in is from 3:00 PM; check-out is by 11:00 AM, unless otherwise arranged in advance.
Cancellation Policy
- 30 days or more before arrival: full refund.
- 7 to 30 days before arrival: 50% refund.
- Less than 7 days before arrival: no refund.
Rates, Payment & Booking
All displayed rates include cleaning fees and taxes unless otherwise stated. A booking is confirmed once payment has been received according to the terms agreed at the time of reservation.
Pets
Pets are welcome upon request and prior approval. Feel free to reach out — we will be happy to let you know if it can be arranged.
Occupancy & Respect for the Property
The number of guests declared at booking must be respected. We ask that you treat the property with care and respect the peace and quiet of the neighbourhood. Parties and events are not permitted without prior authorization.
Damage
In case of any breakage or damage during your stay, please notify us as soon as possible. Depending on the situation, you may replace the damaged item with an equivalent, or we will agree on a reasonable compensation.

While we do everything possible to ensure your comfort and safety, the owners cannot be held responsible for accidents, injuries, losses, or theft during your stay.
